- You can discharge water from the toilet, water from washing dishes, taking a shower or bath, water from a washing machine (without strong chemicals) and toilet paper into the septic tank.
- Shower gels, soaps and shampoos are completely safe for bacteria.
- Any non-degradable items: bags, cigarette butts, feminine hygiene products, wet wipes, wrappers, etc.
- Animal hair and wool, water after washing floors.
- Chlorine-containing products, bleaches
- Water after washing mushrooms
- In case of excess fat accumulation, additional installation of a grease trap is required.
- The purified water can be discharged into a drainage ditch, pond, onto the ground (if there are no ditches on the site), or into a drainage well.
- The water can be used for irrigation in agriculture.
- Maintenance frequency depends on the septic tank type and its usage. On average, it's recommended to pump out sludge once or twice a year.
- Check the vent stack, perform maintenance, and ensure the aeration and circulation system is working properly.
- If the septic tank is installed correctly, it shouldn't freeze. The heat generated by the decomposition of organic matter prevents freezing. In colder regions, additional insulation may be required.
